

GorillaShip | Hobby In Motion LLC – User Agreement & Limits of Liability

This User Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms and conditions governing the use of services provided by Hobby in Motion LLC DBA GorillaShip USA (“GorillaShip,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By subscribing to or using GorillaShip’s package forwarding, consolidation, or mail-handling services, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to the following terms in full.
Description of Services
GorillaShip provides individualized mailing addresses, receipt of incoming packages, consolidation, repackaging, forwarding services, and optional inspection and storage. GorillaShip is not a carrier, freight company, or insurer. Third-party carriers handle transportation and operate under their own terms.
Customer Account & Mailbox Use
Your assigned GorillaShip mailing address, suite number, mailbox, or unit ID is for your personal use only. You may not share your GorillaShip address with any other person, friend, family member, business partner, or third party. You may not allow others to ship items using your assigned unit number or forward packages on behalf of someone else. GorillaShip reserves the right to flag, hold, or reject unauthorized shipments and may terminate accounts violating this policy. Customers must keep all account information up to date and ensure sellers correctly label packages with the full name and GorillaShip ID.
Incoming Mail Handling
GorillaShip logs packages by name, customer ID, carrier, and tracking. Packages missing identification may be delayed or rejected. Standard inspection includes exterior-only checks unless additional inspection services are purchased. GorillaShip does not open packages without authorization, perform authenticity checks, confirm internal contents, or verify quantity unless explicitly paid for.
Customer Responsibilities
It is the customer’s responsibility to maintain, manage, and track all incoming shipments directed to GorillaShip, including ensuring that sellers have shipped the correct items to the correct GorillaShip address. The customer is also responsible for removing old or previously reviewed items from their online Dropbox or Google Drive folder. It is not the responsibility of GorillaShip to track incoming shipments, verify whether a seller has mailed an item, or ensure that shipments make it successfully through the carrier transit system to GorillaShip. GorillaShip does not accept a carrier’s “delivered” tracking status as confirmation of receipt. Successful delivery is only recognized once the purchase has been physically received by GorillaShip and uploaded to the customer’s Dropbox or Google Drive folder by a GorillaShip representative.
You further agree to use the service legally and responsibly, only ship items you personally purchased, comply with customs laws, and avoid prohibited or restricted items. You must inspect all outbound shipments immediately upon delivery and report issues within the required timeframes.
Customs Declarations
GorillaShip submits customs documentation based solely on the values provided by the customer. GorillaShip does not assign, estimate, determine, or advise on the proper customs value of any shipment. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to provide accurate, lawful, and truthful declared values for all shipments. GorillaShip is not in a position to provide or suggest shipping values, customs values, or product valuations for the customer under any circumstance.
Claims, Deadlines, and Reporting Requirements
Outbound Shipments Delivered to Your Home
All claims for missing items, damage, or shipment discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. Claims must include tracking information, photos of the package exterior, interior packaging, damaged items, and proof of purchase or value. Failure to notify GorillaShip within 48 hours constitutes acceptance of the shipment and waives all rights to a claim.
Inbound Mail Irregularities (Packages Arriving at GorillaShip)
Any issues with incoming mail – including missing items, damage, seller errors, or irregularities – must be reported within 10 calendar days of the package being logged into your mailbox. After 10 days, GorillaShip is released from all liability, and investigations may be denied. GorillaShip is not responsible for the damage of any item while in transit to our facility.
Late Claims
Claims submitted after the deadlines are automatically void and will not be reviewed.
Limits of Liability
Before outbound shipment, GorillaShip’s maximum liability is limited to the lesser of the documented purchase price or $100 USD per incident unless additional insurance is purchased prior to shipment. GorillaShip is not liable for carrier mishandling, delays, lost packages, seller packaging issues, pre-existing damage, hidden internal damage not visible externally, customs actions, weather-related delays, mis-addressed packages, market or collectible value, or prohibited items.
If GorillaShip is found liable for any damaged items, wrongly shipped items, or mislabeled items, GorillaShip will address and correct the issue within a period not to exceed 90 business days. If GorillaShip is found to be in error, once the error has been corrected and the matter is in good standing with the customer, a standard non-disclosure agreement will automatically apply to the resolved issue.
Insurance
Insurance must be purchased prior to shipment. Insurance does not guarantee carrier claim approval. GorillaShip is not responsible for denied or disputed claims from carriers.
Storage, Abandonment, Automatic Shipment Creation, and Disposal
Packages left unshipped may incur storage fees. If a customer's storage level has reached or is approaching a point where continued storage would no longer be financially beneficial compared to shipping costs, GorillaShip may automatically create a shipment request on behalf of the customer to protect the customer from unnecessary charges. The customer will be notified when such an automatic shipment request is created. GorillaShip may also dispose of, liquidate, or return abandoned packages after reasonable notice. No refunds will be issued for abandoned packages. GorillaShip will provide complimentary storage for a grace period of 45 business days for all customers while in a unpaid state. If there is no payment made to the account outside of that grace period, GorillaShip will take ownership of the contents (if any) and are authorized to liquidate the inventory to cover unpaid storage or shipping costs.
Prohibited Actions
Customers may not ship illegal or restricted items, use GorillaShip addresses for unauthorized business purposes, share addresses with third parties, submit fraudulent claims, or engage in abusive behavior. If any ongoing or future fraudulent activity is suspected, or if any rude, aggressive, harassing, or inappropriate behavior occurs, GorillaShip reserves the right to immediately close the customer’s account. In such cases, all shipments will be placed on hold and made available for pickup only by the registered account holder, upon presentation of valid identification. No shipping or forwarding options will be provided once an account is closed for these reasons.
GorillaShip also reserves the right to close any account and pursue appropriate action, including legal remedies, if a customer knowingly spreads false information, defamatory statements, malicious rumors, or intentionally harmful claims about GorillaShip on social media, private groups, group chats, online forums, or in person. This applies specifically to false statements presented as fact, defamatory claims, coordinated smear efforts, or harmful misinformation regarding hearsay, ongoing issues, or unresolved matters. Honest opinions, general dissatisfaction, or non-malicious criticism are not restricted; this clause applies only to intentional harm or false representations presented as factual.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GorillaShip, its employees, owners, and agents from any claims, penalties, customs issues, or disputes arising from your use of the service, your declared contents, or legal violations.
Termination
GorillaShip may terminate or suspend service if mailbox sharing rules are violated, fraud or suspicious activity is detected, illegal items are shipped, abusive behavior occurs, defamatory activity is identified, or prohibited actions are committed. Shipments may be held for in-person pickup only as stated above.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, directing packages to a GorillaShip address, or using GorillaShip services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this User Agreement and Limits of Liability in its entirety.
